Celebrating Rosh Hashanah

Rosh is Hebrew for “head”, and Hashanah is Hebrew for “the year”. Put them together, and you have Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year!

It’s a time of celebrating the present, reflecting on the past year, and thinking about how to move forward into the new year. The holiday is kicked-off with a meal highlighted by apple dishes, and the traditional dipping of apples into honey.

Enjoy coloring your own bright, festive apple wishing loved ones a “Shana Tova” (happy new year).

I’ve also included a family favorite, no fail apple cake recipe!
